Former NBA All-Star and current Detroit Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway is facing drunk driving charges, according to Local 4 News in Detroit.

The charges come from an incident in April, when Hardaway was pulled over by officers less than a block away from his home in Beverly Hills. After blowing a .17 on a breathalyzer, he was charged with “operating [a vehicle] with high blood alcohol content.”

Hardaway is currently fighting the charge, but his driving privileges are strictly limited to “business purposes only.” He must also use “Soberlink” testing twice a day, which uses a camera to record whether or not he is sober.

Hardaway’s attorney will not discuss the case while it is pending, but said he is “working towards a resolution” in hopes of possibly avoiding trial.
