The Detroit Pistons lost to the Milwaukee Bucks at home on Monday night, and it was a strange game for Pistons power forward Blake Griffin.
Blake Griffin finished with a dubious quadruple double, as the All-Star big man had 19 points, 10 boards and 11 assists – but 10 turnovers as well. In the 77-year history of the Pistons, only one other time has a player turned it over 10 times in a home game. That was Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas back in 1985, according to Basketball-Reference.
After the game, Blake Griffin was very hard on himself, telling reporters he played awful.

Blake Griffin took the bullet for his team. "I was unbelievably awful tonight." He had 19 points, 10 boards and 11 assists – but 10 turnovers. "We're not going to win if I have 10 turnovers and make poor decisions like I did."

Blake Griffin plays the point-forward role for the Pistons. He's averaging 5.0 assists per game for Detroit, best on the team, even ahead of starting point guard Reggie Jackson. When you have the ball as much as Griffin does, you are bound to turn the ball over at a high volume.
However, 10 turnovers is way too much for Blake Griffin, who entered Monday averaging 3.7 turnovers per game. Expect him to clean it up for the Pistons' next game. Overall, the high-flyer is having a good season for Detroit, averaging 25.7 points and 9.1 rebounds while shooting 47.2 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 73.5 percent from the free-throw line.
