The Detroit Pistons have been on a steep decline since starting the season as one of the potential contenders for the Eastern Conference crown, now finding themselves outside of the playoffs, in the ninth spot, two games behind the Milwaukee Bucks.

Leading scorer Tobias Harris attributes these struggles to not capitalizing in winnable games throughout the season.

“We're at home and we're playing teams that we expect to come in and win,” Harris said, according to Ansar Khan of MLive. “No disrespect to the teams, but these are games that we look on the schedule and say we need to get this win. You look at the home schedule and a lot of those games you want to grab those. It's frustrating.”

The Pistons have lost four in a row at home, three of those losses against teams that are a combined 28 games below the .500 mark — the Charlotte Hornets, the Brooklyn Nets, and most-recently the Utah Jazz. Detroit has slowly lost ground, now finding itself in a familiar spot, battling to garner a playoff spot, despite a porous 22-24 record.

Harris shot a mere 6-of-17 from the floor for 13 points, and even a monster 30-point, 24-rebound, six-block performance by Andre Drummond wasn't enough to lead the Pistons past the Jazz in overtime.

“When you want to win that bad, you want to do whatever,” Drummond said. “I don't even care about the stat line. I don't like losing. I just tried to give it another notch to try to get a win tonight. It just wasn't enough.”
