In the 15th anniversary of their 2004 title run, the Detroit Pistons honored Chauncey Billups with a tribute video.

The Pistons played the video tribute during the first quarter of their game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Chauncey Billups was named the 2004 Finals MVP after leading the Pistons to an upset victory over the heavily favored Los Angeles Lakers squad that had Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone and Gary Payton. Chauncey averaged 21.0 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds in that Finals series.

The 17-year veteran guard earned the monicker “Mr. Big Shot” because he was lethal during clutch situations throughout the course of his career. He spent eight seasons with the Pistons, averaging 16.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.

Up to this day, the 2004 Pistons are still considered as one of the best, if not the best defensive team in the modern era of the NBA. But when that team needed a bucket, especially during pressure situations, they have always looked to Billups to deliver.

At the moment, Billups is working as an NBA analyst. However, there have been multiple reports that he could be the next General Manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves. It is a front office position that has always been associated with Chauncey. Last season, the Cleveland Cavaliers offered him the same post, but he declined.

Billups was nominated into the NBA Hall of Fame last season, but he didn't make it. However, he still believes that he, along with teammates Richard Hamilton and Ben Wallace, should be inducted.
