It's Christmas Eve, and Santa Claus is getting ready to make his trip around the world to deliver all the gifts on people's Christmas wish lists. If the Golden State Warriors made a list for themselves, they should have these three on it.
Golden State Warriors Christmas Wish List
3. A fully healthy roster going into the postseason
The Warriors got hammered by injuries the last two seasons. Now things are finally starting to look good for the team. They have one of the best records in the NBA, and Klay Thompson and James Wiseman haven't returned. The good news is both are getting closer to being back on the court with the team very soon.
Meanwhile, no significant injuries have occurred this season, and hopefully, it stays that way. The one thing that has been out of anyone's control is COVID-19. The Warriors haven't been impacted by it as much as other teams, though it caught up with them with Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Damion Lee all sidelined because of the NBA's health and safety protocols.
The Warriors have an opportunity to contend for a championship. If they are healthy, that gives them a chance at making it happen. If health is an issue, it can destroy a fantastic product. So hopefully, Santa can gift the team this request.
2. 3 players take home 3 individual awards
If the season ended today, this could actually happen. Stephen Curry is having another great year and could wind up breaking his single-season 3-point record. He also could end up being this year's scoring champ. Two things that will help make a strong case for him winning league MVP.

Then you have Draymond Green, who's playing at an extraordinary level on defense. He's the anchor, and he's the biggest reason the Warriors have the best defense in the NBA. They lead the NBA in defensive rating with a score of 101.4, so you have to consider Dray for the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Lastly, there's the emergence of Jordan Poole, the protégé of Curry. He is having another career year averaging 17.9 points on 44.2 percent shooting. This season he's filling in for Klay Thompson in the starting lineup, and he's one of the main reasons the Warriors are a top team in the league. Whenever Curry has an off night, Poole can carry the load. That makes him an excellent candidate for the Most Improved Player of the Year award.
If anybody can deliver this lofty goal, it's Santa Claus.
1. An NBA championship inside the Chase Center
Every accomplishment made in the history of this franchise happened in Oracle Arena. Since the team has moved to a state-of-the-art arena in San Francisco, the only thing they've done is lose games. This season that isn't the case, and the Warriors are one of the best teams in the NBA.
This year could erase all of the fans' bad memories about the last two years. Klay Thompson's return to the team will provide them with a familiar look. Seeing him back with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will remind them of the championship days.
If the Warriors can continue to put pieces together the correct way, a championship inside their new arena would be the best gift they can receive. It's a present the team and the entire Bay Area would love to have.
These are the three things that should be on the Warriors' Christmas wish list if they made one. Merry Christmas.
