Draymond Green definitely doesn't “suck,” and was especially good on Friday night. Forgive Los Angeles Clippers fans for trying to get under his skin during the fourth quarter of their team's season-ending loss to the Golden State Warriors, though. After all, the Clippers were slowly cutting into the Warriors' lead, allowing for the slim possibility of another miracle to keep their dream season alive for at least one game.
It didn't come to pass, in large part because Green played perhaps his best game of the postseason on Friday. He had 16 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, and four blocks, creating easy opportunities for his teammates offensively and making plays both splashy and subtle all over the floor on defense. After a Game 5 in which Green admitted he failed to play with his normal level of intensity, he flipped the switch to ensure Los Angeles wouldn't be able to force a do-or-die Game 7.
With several minutes left in the fourth quarter, though, after Green picked up a technical foul to cut further into Golden State's lead, the Staples Center crowd was nevertheless trying to get under his skin.

The Warriors and Clippers, by the way, shared hugs and well wishes in the postgame handshake line after the series was officially finished. Even Kevin Durant, who erupted for 50 points in Game 6, and Patrick Beverley embraced.
Does Green suck? No way, and Los Angeles' players don't even hate him, instead creating animosity for the heat of the game. But keep this energy going regardless, Clippers fans – the NBA needs every rivalry it can get.
