Despite the Golden State Warriors sweeping the first three rounds of the playoffs, and beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, it's still hard not to notice that their starting shooting guard, Klay Thompson, is continuing to struggle and produce the same numbers he did in the regular season.

In 13 postseason games so far, the three-time All-Star is only averaging 13.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He is struggling mightily from the field and has only converted on 36.6 percent of his shots, which was capped off by his 3-of-16 shooting versus the Cavs on Thursday night.

However, for Draymond Green, he is not worried about his teammate's sub par performances as he knows he is a very good shooter and can end the slump soon. He also said, to the Associated Press via USA TODAY Sports, that what's important is Thompson is still playing good defense, and that they have other members of the team that have been stepping up for his lack of offensive output.

“The most important thing is the way he's defending. We have enough guys who can score on this team that if one guy can't get it going, we can go other places. Then our ball movement and our flow allows everyone else to get baskets as well. We're not just going to say, ‘Oh, man, we really need to get Klay going.'”

Green's statement goes to show how much they play as a team and not calling out someone for his poor play. Instead, his words of encouragement can do wonders for Thompson, as he knows his teammates continue to have confidence in him. If he uses it as extra motivation to play better, it will be a huge boost for the Dubs, and could mean more wins for them, and get them closer to the title.
