There has been no official update on the injury to Golden State Warriors swingman Andre Iguodala in Game 1 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

However, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said “he's doing okay.” These were Kerr's words to The Athletic Warriors reporter Anthony Slater on Thursday.

NBC Sports Bay Area's Ali Thanawalla wrote about Iguodala's left hamstring injury which he sustained in the Warriors' 118-109 series-opening loss to the Toronto Raptors on May 30.

Adding injury to insult at the end of Game 1 of the NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala might have suffered a significant injury.

With 1:55 remaining in the Warriors' 118-109 loss, Iguodala cut down the lane, took a pass from Draymond Green and hit a floater to cut the Toronto Raptors' lead to eight.

But after he landed, Iguodala appeared to grab his left hamstring. He knew something was wrong right away as he went back down the court to play defense.

Iguodala substantiated Kerr's statements after the game.

“I'll be fine,” he told reporters (via NBC Sports Bay Area).

The Warriors cannot afford another injury. 2014 NBA MVP Kevin Durant is already out with a right calf strain. Center DeMarcus Cousins played for the first time since mid-April. He suffered a torn left quad muscle in Game 2 of the first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers.

From the looks of things, Iguodala should be ready for Game 2. The Warriors need his stellar defense to steal home-court advantage from an upstart Toronto Raptors squad.
