Much has been made of the Golden State Warriors getting back to their egalitarian roots in the wake of Kevin Durant's injury, and the numbers throughout the first two games of the NBA Finals certainly support that narrative. Whether they'll be able to take the same offensive approach in Game 3, with Klay Thompson either hobbled or out of the lineup entirely, remains to be seen.

Entering Wednesday night's action at Oracle Arena, Golden State has assisted on a whopping 87.5 percent of their baskets agains the Toronto Raptors, a ratio that if it stands would be the highest in NBA Finals history.

The Warriors had 29 assists on 34 field goals in their 118-109 series-opening loss to the Raptors last week. They followed that up with 34 dimes on 38 makes in Sunday's stunning come-from-behind victory, and even had help on all 22 of their baskets during the second half – a mind-boggling feat. Golden State, in fact, has notched its highest assist rate of the playoffs in each game of the Finals so far.

Despite playing from the friendly confines of Oakland, the Warriors' offense might look much different in Game 3. If Thompson is out along with Durant, the off-ball cuts that create so many easy scoring opportunities for Golden State will be fewer and further between than ever. Even if Thompson is active, an even bigger onus will fall on the shoulders of Steph Curry, while DeMarcus Cousins will also be asked to flex his individual scoring muscles.

Game 3 tips off from Oracle Arena at 9:00 p.m. EST.
