Thursday night, Golden State Warriors superstar Klay Thompson moved up on the list of all-time NBA playoff leaders in made 3-pointers.
Klay Thompson knocked down two 3-pointers for the Warriors in the first quarter of Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. His 3-pointer at the 6:06 mark helped him overtake LeBron James on the playoff 3-pointer ladder. Thompson now has 372 3-pointers in playoff games, edging LeBron's 371. Thompson's early start brought to mind all the times in previous playoff series and previous playoff seasons in which he brought a golden shooting touch to Game 6 of a series.
In this year's playoff alone, Klay Thompson has already knocked down 68 3-pointers. The 29-year-old guard is now just 14 3-pointers away from tying Ray Allen's record during his 18-year career in the league. Thompson's teammate, two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Steph Curry is on top of the list with 467 playoff 3-pointers made.
