Golden State Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson says he's “not worried” about Brooklyn Nets superstar small forward Kevin Durant as he recovers from a torn Achilles tendon.

Durant, who left the Warriors this summer and signed a four-year deal with the Nets in free agency, will likely miss the entire 2019-20 season.

Thompson, who is rehabbing his ACL injury, says Durant is still going to be one of the best players in the world when he comes back.

“He's so young and talented, his skills will never deteriorate,” Thompson told Cari Champion of ESPN. “He'll be back to jumping 12 feet high and raining 3's all over the court. So, I'm not worried about him.”

Kevin Durant is 6-foot-9 and can shoot over anyone from anywhere on the court. The new Nets star doesn't rely on speed or athleticism to score the basketball, so he's still going to be an unstoppable scorer when he returns to the court.

Durant, 30, has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists.

KD signed a four-year, $164.26 million contract with the Nets. The Warriors were able to acquire All-Star point guard D'Angelo Russell from Brooklyn in a sign-and-trade deal involving Durant.

Russell will start for the Warriors alongside Stephen Curry until Klay Thompson returns to action.
