Dennis Rodman made a lot of headlines recently when he took a shot at Cleveland Cavaliers star forward LeBron James for sitting out games to rest. He called him out for taking extra nights off and compared him to his former teammate, Michael Jordan, who played in all of his games when healthy.

However, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr responded to Rodman's comments, via Anthony Slater of The Mercury News, and cited that he shouldn't be the one calling out James as he received a number of suspensions in the seasons he played in the NBA, which also gave him a chance to rest.

“I saw Dennis Rodman was complaining about it. I got a kick out of that because Dennis was suspended for 15 games a year anyway. He’d have plenty of rest. (Went to) Vegas or Wrestlemania. He took a night off whenever he wanted so he can’t complain.”

The Worm made a name for himself during his playing days as one of the players with the most volatile temperament. He was often involved in scuffles because of his hard-nosed approach to basketball, but excelled as a top-notch rebounder and defender.

Kerr and Rodman played together for the Chicago Bulls and won three championships together from 1996-1998. They were both key players for Phil Jackson that time and helped bring a second three-peat to the franchise.

sThe league's resting issue is continuing to draw a lot of criticism from past and current players, which leads to Adam Silver and company with the need to come up with a big decision on how to address it come summertime. Until then, Rodman may not be the last one to voice out his opinion on the controversial topic.
