Shortly after the Golden State Warriors clinched their second NBA title in the last three seasons, Nike fittingly played an ad starring 2017 NBA Finals MVP, Kevin Durant, detailing his 10-year legacy as a player coming into the league and all the criticism he's faced throughout his career.
“Debate This” sums up Durant in a nutshell, a skinny kid that could not bench press 185 pounds coming into the league, called “weak” for his slight, wiry frame as a freshman from the University of Texas and later “soft” for his decision to join the franchise that ultimately made him an NBA champion.
Pundits always had a caveat to his greatness, whether it was his defense or his meek demeanor as he came into his own.

Having been crowned a champion and won a Finals MVP award — doing so at the tune of 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 1.0 steals while shooting a blazing-hot 55.6 percent from the field, 47.4 percent from deep, and a silky 92.7 percent from the free-throw line…
Now that, is tough to debate.
