During the offseason, Golden State Warriors All-Star guard Klay Thompson took a trip over to China after he signed a 10-year endorsement extension with Anta.
It turned out to be a tour that featured many personal mishaps that included badly missing a 360 dunk, an arm wrestling match to a fan, and some awkward dancing inside a nightclub. However, his teammate Kevin Durant believes that this helped make Thompson a more relatable person.

Klay Thompson's ability to make light of the numerous embarrassing moments while embracing the overall experience has allowed for him to garner a stronger connection with his fanbase. It has given some more insight into the type of person he is away from the court.
In the first several years of his career, Thompson has displayed a quiet demeanor that didn't truly let on much about his personality outside of having a strong passion for dogs. The trip to China presented a different side of him that makes him more personable to the casual NBA fan through these various viral moments.
Aside from that, Thompson has earned much respect from his Warriors teammates both and off the court over the years. This was just a chance for fans to see more of who the 27-year-old is as a person rather than just a professional basketball player.
