Golden State Warriors forward Alfonzo McKinnie is recovering slower than the organization hoped and isn't ready to return yet.
Per Nick Friedell of ESPN, while McKinnie is feeling better, the Warriors organization was hoping for a more speedy recovery:
Kerr also noted that Alfonzo McKinnie had an MRI on his foot last week. McKinnie is feeling better but the progress hasn’t come as quickly as the organization had hoped.

Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Kerr briefly discussed the MRI results:

McKinnie is out for Thursday night's game against the Toronto Raptors, which is the seventh straight game he has missed. McKinnie carved out a spot in the Warriors' rotation at the beginning of this season after a long journey across the world over the last few years.
Though injuries have prevented him from seeing the floor over the last few weeks, two-time MVP Stephen Curry believes that McKinnie is going to be one hell of a player once he fully develops. Per Mark Medina of the Mercury News:
“Seven games in, he’s not even close to scratching the surface on what type of player he’s going to be. It would not surprise me if he’s a huge, huge catalyst for us especially in those games that matter at the end of the year.”
Alfonzo McKinnie is averaging 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game this season. The 26-year-old is shooting a red-hot 48.4 percent on 3-pointers.
