The Golden State Warriors' recent struggles have seen the team dip down to third place in the Western Conference, but Andrew Wiggins isn't worried. The Warriors' star forward had a fiery take ahead of Golden State's matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, and fans of the Western Conference's top dogs might not take too kindly to his comments. Via AZ Central's Duane Rankin, Wiggins declared the Warriors are “still that team,” despite finding themselves 13.5 games back in the standings.

“Even with that little funk there we were in, we're still third in the West and we believe we're still the best team, especially when everyone is healthy, and that's what we're going towards,” said Wiggins ahead of Wednesday night's showdown.

The Warriors are 48-28 on the year, in third place in the West, trailing the Memphis Grizzlies and the Suns. Golden State has won just four of its last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Suns have been surging, winners of nine of their last 10. Additionally, the Suns also got Chris Paul back from injury this past week, providing another boost to their title chances.

Despite the disparity between the two teams in the standings, Wiggins isn't sweating the Warriors' recent struggles. A loss against the Suns on Wednesday may just have him eating his words, but maintaining confidence even amid their poor stretch is crucial for the Warriors as they look to turn things around ahead of the final stretch of the season.

The Warriors are 2-1 against the Suns this season, so they'll look to round out the season series victory with a win on Wednesday night.
