Bob Myers, the Golden State Warriors president of basketball operations, has built a winning culture in the organization over the years. But superstars Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson will create a bit of uncertainty as both players will enter free agency next year. Still, Myers is not worried as he reiterates his focus on things he can control.

Mark Medina of The Mercury News wrote a story on how the Warriors front office is approaching Durant's impending free agency.

“You have to focus on the things you can control, which is our winning culture and how we treat people,” Warriors general manager Bob Myers said. “You don’t change.”

Myers, a former sports agent and two-time NBA Executive of the Year, has been the great influencer for the success of the franchise. No matter how strong the Warriors seem to be, the team's main core was built upon Myers' on-point draft choices and free agency acquisitions.

He was the one responsible for drafting the overlooked Draymond Green in the second round of the 2012 draft. He also lured Andre Iguodala to the team, arguably the most important player during the team's championship run in 2015. He signed the oft-injured Shaun Livingston, and the latter became the backbone of the team's second unit.

Most importantly, he also installed former player and analyst Steve Kerr to head coaching duties in 2014, a bold move that critics questioned in the past.

Myers was all about creating a team-first culture in the organization, a system that transitioned into the Warriors' play on the court. As the team is chasing a vaunted three-peat this season, Myers looks to build upon that winning culture even more.
