Kevin Durant could become a free agent again after the 2018-19 NBA season. There are already rumblings suggesting that the former NBA Most Valuable Player will leave the Golden State Warriors and sign with the New York Knicks in the offseason.
Veteran basketball analyst Colin Cowherd believes that Durant will make a huge mistake if he decides to leave the Warriors in favor of the Knicks.
Cowherd was reacting to a statement from Ric Bucher, who said that Durant has already made up his mind about playing elsewhere next season.
Cowherd pointed out that there should be no reason for Durant to leave Golden State. He said that the 30-year-old superstar, who he considers as the best player in the world today, is already in the most ideal situation, and there is no franchise better than the Warriors right now.

Cowherd praised Warriors coach Steve Kerr and general manager Bob Myers for how they are handling the team and their players.
He also added that the Warriors have superstars in Klay Thompson and Steph Curry, who are both easy to play with. These are just few of the reasons why he thinks Durant should stay in Golden State.
However, as Bucher pointed out, Durant looks determined to move elsewhere this summer. Bucher said that Durant wants to play in a city where he will be fully appreciated unlike in Golden State.
It was well publicized that Durant was never fully embraced by Warriors fans even if he has already helped the team win two straight titles.
