Cousins was having a great year last season with the New Orleans Pelicans before he tore his Achilles tendon in January against the Houston Rockets. The four-time All-Star was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game while shooting 47.0 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc.
The injury decreased Cousins' market value, as he didn't receive any offers from any team once free agency started July 1. That's why Boogie had to call the Warriors and sign with the champs for a meager $5.3 million.
