Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins has been on a frustrating road to recovery since undergoing surgery for a torn Achilles that he suffered earlier in the year.
DeMarcus Cousins has yet to make his debut with the Warriors since signing with the franchise in the offseason, but he continues to be hard at work in trying to get back on the court sooner rather than later.
However, even when he is able to start playing in actual games, that doesn't mean that the road to get there was an easy one.
Here's what Cousins had to say about his current rehab process, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

“It’s a lot of sore days,” Cousins told The Athletic. “There are days I really ache. I do a lot of lower-body training. So there are days where my legs just feel like cement blocks and I can barely move. Then there are days where I feel like a feather on the floor.”
“It’s been super frustrating,” Cousins added. “Those drills. Constant drills. Same thing every day.”
Cousins averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds during the 2017-18 campaign before suffering the season-ending injury.
Even with Cousins sidelined, the Warriors have still managed to put together a very good start to this season. The Dubs are sitting at 23-11 heading into the Christmas matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Cousins return is expected to give Golden State yet another dynamic playmaker that can affect the game in many ways. And with players like Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant already being among the best playmakers in the NBA, the Warriors may be incredibly difficult to guard once Cousins is back in the paint.
