Green is eligible for an extension though he won't be a free agent until the 2020 offseason. Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Demarcus Cousins all will be eligible for free-agency before Green.

After anchoring the defense for years, Green has become a staple of the annual Defensive Player of the Year award. He finished second in votes back in 2016, Green broke through and won the award in 2017 after helping the Warriors to their third title in four years.
Despite playing alongside numerous All-NBA talents, Green has found his own niche, doing a little bit of everything. Green's full talents were on display last season when he averaged 11.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game.
While many argue that Green wouldn't have the same impact on a different team, we may not find out any time soon regardless.
