Golden State Warriors forward Eric Paschall has been quite vocal about the issue of racism. He called out Mike Pence during the recent US Vice Presidential debate for denying that there’s systemic racism in the country.

Well, Paschall's opinion got validated—albeit, unfortunately—as he allegedly experienced a racist encounter on Tuesday. He said on Twitter that a white lady turned her back on an elevator at an Airbnb after seeing he was on it.

He clarified there were other people on the elevator, but it wasn't packed.

A fan wondered if the white lady was just being extra cautious because of the entire COVID-19 situation. But the first-year Warriors forward countered they were both wearing face masks.

The 23-year-old Paschall has openly denounced US President Donald Trump, who has been known to utter racist remarks. The 2020 All-NBA Rookie First Team member also posted tweets in support of the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris tandem.

Eric Paschall also continues to remind people to register and vote.

The fight against racism continues to be an integral issue in the NBA in the last few years. This season, the battle for social equality exponentially grew, with more and more players voicing out their frustrations. Everything boiled over with the death of George Floyd last May, prompting more NBA stars to join Black Lives Matter protests, including Jaylen Brown, Russell Westbrook, DeMar DeRozan, Jordan Clarkson, and Paschall's Warriors teammates like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Other big-name players like LeBron James, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony, among others, have also been instrumental in the NBA's advocacy to stop racism by using their multiple platforms.
