Former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas thinks Stephen Curry and D'Angelo Russell will play well together on the Golden State Warriors.
Curry and Russell will start in the Warriors' backcourt while Klay Thompson rehabs his ACL tear. Arenas says Curry has shown he can play with and adapt to other star's games, so co-existing with Russell shouldn't be an issue for the two-time MVP.
“You are always skeptical about random pieces being added to teams, but at the end of the day, Steph has shown that he can adapt to different players,” Arenas told Landon Buford. “I don’t think it is going to be a problem because he is going to do everything he can to make D’Angelo feel a part of that team.”

One of the main reasons Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant played well together is because Steph literally has no ego. The Warriors point guard just wants to win and doesn't care who is scoring or taking the most shots.
Last season with the Brooklyn Nets, Russell averaged 21.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists. He can shoot the ball from anywhere on the court and also drive to the basket and finish at the rim. The lefty figures to mesh well with the Warriors' motion-heavy offense.
Curry put up 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 2018-19, and that was with Durant and Thompson in the lineup. Some believe Curry can lead the NBA in scoring this upcoming season since his usage rate is going to be off the charts.
