Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers expressed the same sentiment many in the Bay Area have had in mind since the team won its second straight title: hoping Kevin Durant stays past this upcoming season.
“I hope Kevin is here, I hope he plays til he's 50,” said Myers, according to Connor LeTourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle.
Myers earned the Executive of the Year award virtually the second after Durant initially signed with the Warriors in 2016, though there was some awkwardness between the two during the championship parade that could be an ominous sign of things to come.

The two-time Finals MVP has signed nothing but one-and-one deals since coming to the Bay Area in 2016, making this one his third — a two-year, $61.5 million deal to secure his future with the Warriors for only this season.
Durant will likely take part in a gigantic 2019 free-agency market that includes stars like Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, and even teammate Klay Thompson.
