San Francisco, CA – Some members of the Golden State Warriors have seen it all. They've won NBA championships, Finals MVP awards, won series after trailing, and a lot more. Then there is the other part of the team, who are tasting the postseason for the first time. One of the players on the second list is Jordan Poole.
The third-year guard has had a tremendous season, and Poole’s high level of play rolled over into the playoffs. So far, he's averaging 21 points, 5.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. After Friday’s practice, he talked with the media about his first-round series for the Warriors.

“I did learn a lot, and I definitely feel like I've gained a lot of knowledge within the games that we just played in this first round,” Poole told ClutchPoints. “Definitely can add to my game. I learned a lot about my teammates and other players. But it was definitely exciting, and I'm definitely glad to have that first series under my belt.”

He followed that game up with scoring, 29 and 27 in the next two games. Then the Nuggets started making the 22-year-old a priority to slow down, and his scoring numbers dropped.

Although he only scored 11 and 8 points in the last two games, he was effective and a constant threat. When Poole, Stephen Curry, and Klay Thompson are on the floor together, teams have to decide who to key in on. When the Warriors recognize which one their opponent chose, the other two carry the load and do most of the damage.
This problem is no longer Denver’s, though. It will be the winner of the Memphis and Minnesota series. The Grizzlies lead the series 3-2 while Poole and the Dubs are patiently waiting for whoever's next.
