The Golden State Warriors have been absent from postseason play for two consecutive years. Each season the Warriors were hit with costly injuries. These devastations created obstacles they couldn't recover from, which caused them not to make the playoffs. The team is on the verge of being fully healthy, and they have a ton of optimism heading into the 2021-22 season.
On ClutchPoints' Warriors Multiverse podcast with Mark Haynes, Jordan Poole talked about the upcoming season.
“I think we have a really good team this year. It's going to be an exciting season. We're extremely talented. We're going to be back at full health, and I'm just trying to find ways to impact our team in the best possible way,” Poole told ClutchPoints.
Article Continues BelowLast season the Warriors played a chunk of the year with eight available players. Poole was one of them, and he was a standout. He averaged 12 points and posted a career-high 38 points in a 125-122 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Poole will be playing with a group of new faces, and team chemistry will be a crucial factor. Warriors fans have incredibly high expectations for their team, and the players do too.
“We got a lot of young guys. We also have a lot of experience, and I think we're all just ready and eager to get back to the playoffs and try to make a run,” Poole shared.
This year might be the most challenging year yet for Poole and the Warriors. Losing games are easier than winning, and if the team makes a run in the playoffs, they will need to overcome many obstacles. Some members have done it at the highest level, and they will be vital in helping lead this team to success.
