Kevin Durant passed Larry Bird on the NBA's all-time scoring list on Monday. After his first nine points against the Memphis Grizzlies, Durant (21,792 career points) passed Bird (21,791) for 33rd place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. He finished the night with 23 points for the game and 21,806 for his career.

Durant was, of course, asked if passing Bird on the all-time scoring list was a big deal for him.

For Durant to pass Bird is a huge deal. Bird was one of the most dominant scorers and winners of his era. Durant has modeled much of his offensive game after the former Boston Celtic.

The Warriors are continuing their dominant play. They are 21-10 on the season and are currently ranked second in the NBA’s Western Conference. Just wait until DeMarcus Cousins comes back from injury in the next couple of months. They'll be unstoppable.

Kevin Durant is averaging 29.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the field. Stephen Curry is also averaging a nuclear 29.6 points, 5.2 points, and 5.7 assists per game while shooting 50.3 percent from the field.

The Warriors have one of the best scorers of all time in Durant, the best shooter of all time in Stephen Curry, and one of the best spot-up shooters ever in Klay Thompson. When they’re hot, they are impossible to stop.

The Warriors will play the Jazz next in Utah this upcoming Wednesday.
