Though he was initially ruled out, Golden State Warriors big man Kevon Looney could be cleared for action before the end of this year's NBA Finals, according to a report from ESPN's Tim Bontemps:

Looney took an awkward fall during Game 2 while defending Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard. At first, the Warriors thought Looney's injury may have been a chest contusion, but X-rays later revealed a collarbone fracture. Now, after further examination from the team's medical staff, the Warriors are hoping he'll be able to make a return at some point. As of Thursday, though, he has not been cleared to play in Game 4.

Looney has made 18 appearances with the Warriors during their 2018-19 playoff run, racking up averages of 7.2 points on 73.0 percent shooting from the field and 4.6 rebounds in 20.3 minutes per outing.

The Warriors — now making a fifth straight appearance in the NBA Finals — are dealing with several injuries. As a result, they're now trailing the Raptors by a score of two games to one. Klay Thompson is listed as day-to-day with a hamstring issue, and Kevin Durant has been dealing with a calf ailment. However, there is a chance that Durant and Thompson will be cleared to play in Game 4.

The Warriors and Raptors will meet for Game 4 on Friday night. Tip-off inside Oracle Arena is set for 9:00 p.m. ET, with ABC having live broadcast coverage.
