Backup big man Kevon Looney, who missed Game 3 because of a fracture near his collarbone, will be playing for the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. Moreover, the team's trainers insists that there's no risk of him re-aggravating his injury.

Looney was initially listed as questionable for Game 4, but Steve Kerr gave him the green light to play due to the recent development about his injury. He was also seen getting shots up before Game 4, which immediately raised hopes about his availability.
Kevon Looney has been told by team trainers that he wouldn't worsen his injury by playing tonight, per a team source. It's simply a pain-tolerance thing. https://t.co/Js1B0uVqiC

Aside from the 23-year-old forward, Warriors guard Klay Thompson will also suit up. He also missed the last contest because of a hamstring strain he suffered in Game 2.

Thompson and Looney's addition will definitely give the Warriors a bigger chance of tying the series against the Toronto Raptors. However, the team is still one-man short, as Kevin Durant has been officially listed as out for Friday's ga,e.
KD hasn't played since the second round of the playoffs, and the team is hoping that he could return to the lineup in either Game 5 or 6.
With Durant still sidelined, Looney will play a key role for the Warriors off the bench. He is expected to replace Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala in some stretches so that both could get some rest. His numbers might not be impressive, but Looney's ability to do the little things while some of the starters are on the bench is what makes him valuable to this squad.
The Warriors cannot afford to lose Game 4, as it would put them on the brink of elimination for the rest of the series.
