Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson couldn't help but be frustrated as he has to watch on the sidelines again while his teammates fight for a playoff spot against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
Late in the first quarter of the final game of the play-in competition, Thompson was spotted by the cameras up from his seat, clearly bothered that he isn't able to do anything but cheer for the Warriors. Apparently, he's like that on almost every play as he really wanted to play in the game.
If he had a uniform on him, he would have probably already gotten in the game even against the advice of the team's medical staff.

Klay Thompson's desire to play is understandable, especially since it would have been a different story for the Warriors all season if he's on the floor. With him, Stephen Curry won't need to carry the offense all alone. Heck, one could even say they wouldn't be in the play-in at all had he been able to play in the regular season.
Unfortunately, that is not the case. All Thompson and the Dubs can do now is wait for next season until he's healthy to suit up once again.
Hopefully Klay's support will power the Warriors and motivate them to bounce back to get that final playoff spot in the West. At the half, the Grizzlies led Golden State by 13 points at 62-49. Curry scored 17 after 24 minutes, but Memphis countered that with balanced scoring led by Ja Morant's 12.
