The Golden State Warriors must be dreaming of better days after a 4-16 start to the season. You can bet that Klay Thompson is watching from the sideline in agony.

Thompson paid tribute to Oracle Arena with an Instagram post on Sunday, wearing a shirt in commemoration of Golden State's old arena.

Klay also jokingly referenced the movie Air Bud as he rehabbed with his dog, Rocco:

Thompson is expected to sit out the remainder of the season as he works his way back for the torn ACL that he suffered during Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

The Warriors clearly miss Thompson on the floor as they have broken from the gates with the worst record in the NBA. Eric Paschall and Alec Burks have actually improved as scorers, but neither of those guys can make up for some deficiencies in terms of perimeter defense.

Still, Thompson has found a way to have some fun. He served as a commentator during the Warriors' win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night while cheering on his teammates (via Scott Ostler of the San Francisco Chronicle):

Thompson took up his station at a portable table in the tunnel just off the court and behind the Warriors’ bench. He spent the quarter chattering with announcers Bob Fitzgerald and Kelenna Azubuike. They couldn’t shut the man up. Didn’t want to.

Thompson was way more cheerleader than commentator, but that’s the idea. He is still one of the guys.

Despite the side-gig, it must be hard not to reminisce of a former Warriors dynasty. Even Thompson is unafraid to take tripes down memory lane.
