Despite the fact that Klay Thompson hasn't played a single game for the Golden State Warriors in nearly two years, he's kept a close eye on the developments that have been going on within the team. What has caught his attention of late is, unsurprisingly, the outstanding play of rookie James Wiseman.

Thompson had nothing but praise for the Warriors' prized big man. So much so, that Klay has openly said (or at least implied) that it will be Wiseman's responsibility to carry the torch once he and Stephen Curry are out of the picture:

“I think James is going to be a perennial All-Star 1 day,” Thompson said, via Nickle Friedell of ESPN. “He doesn't know how good he is yet. Who does when they're 19 yrs old? But he just has physical abilities and talent that you just can't teach. So James is going to hopefully extend this dynastic run for years to come.”

Based on what we've seen from Wiseman over the first half of the season, we will have to echo Thompson's thoughts here. The 19-year-old does have the makings of a cornerstone superstar and right now, he is looking very much like Golden State's big man of the future.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves too much, though. Before we even think about Klay and Steph's retirement, we have to talk about what will happen once a healthy Klay Thompson returns to action next season. We've all been witnesses as to what this pair can do on the basketball court, and with Wiseman now in the mix, it would be foolish to think that the Warriors dynasty is over. Far from it.
