Klay Thompson, who sustained a high ankle injury in Game 1, was still nursing some pain in the Golden State Warriors' Game 2 win. After the game, Thompson fooled around with Stephen Curry — his Splash Brother –who's had a history of ankle problems in his career.
As reported by Anthony Slater, Thompson spoke about his recent injury, to which Curry responded:
Great combo press conference moment
Klay Thompson on his ankle: "You don't realize how much you use your ankle until you hurt it."
Steph Curry: "You should've asked me."— Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) June 4, 2018
To recall, Thompson sustained the injury in Game 1, after J.R. Smith inadvertently collided with him. Thompson's status was a game-time decision ahead of Game 2. Right after Game 2, he confessed that it was still hurting. Yet he didn't let this hinder his performance.
As reported by ESPN, Thompson said:

“It was hurting, but I took all the right remedies and told myself I could be sore going in to the summer,” Thompson told Shelburne after the Warriors' 122-103 win. “I'll be back Wednesday and hopefully no pain. But it's gut-check time now. It's no, it's no time to feel sorry for yourself.”
Despite the hurt ankle, Thompson was still productive. He chipped in 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-8 from 3-point range, in 34 minutes of play.
Draymond Green complemented Thompson for his toughness. He added that when he saw him the other day, he concluded that he'll not play because of the severity of the injury. Yet he powered through the pain. Now, his team is up 2-0 against the Cavaliers.
“He might be the toughest guy I've ever played with. I saw him yesterday and was like, ‘Oh s— … he's not going to be able to play.'”
