Golden State Warriors marksman Klay Thompson appears to have taken a unique means of transportation to the team's first day of practice. Rather than driving himself, it appears as though Thompson took the Bay Ferry.

Anthony Slater of The Athletic shared Thompson's post on Tuesday morning. In the photo, the former Washington State Cougar can bee seen rocking a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony hat as his vessel meandered to its destination:

Thompson is expected to miss a large chunk of this season, as he's still recovering from the torn ACL he suffered during the NBA Finals. Though he would love to be playing with his teammates, the 29-year-old recently noted that he will not rush his return to the court:

“No, I'm going to do what the team says,” Thompson told NBC Sports. “I've done my due diligence on rehabs and ACL injuries, and the last thing you want to do is rush back, especially for a player like me who wants to play until he's in his late 30s. I want to play at a high level until that point, too. As much as it kills me not to be on the court, patience is a virtue, and rushing back would be not very smart.”

According to several reports, Thompson will not be re-evaluated until the All-Star break. However, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be good to go at that point. The Warriors will take a cautious approach to his return.

Golden State finished the 2018-19 regular season with an impressive 57-25 overall record, earning the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs. Unfortunately, though, the Warriors were defeated by the Toronto Raptors in the Finals, 4-2.
