SAN FRANCISCO — The Golden State Warriors go into the All-Star break having lost four of their last five games. The biggest problem during this rough stretch has been on the defensive end. The Warriors are allowing teams to score 115.6 points per game over that stretch, 20th in the league, according to NBA.com.
After the Warriors got outplayed by the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, Stephen Curry cleared the air on the assumption that the return of Draymond Green could fix all their problems.
“Fixed is a tough word just because there are other things that we have to correct while getting him back up to speed,” Curry told ClutchPoints. “Obviously, Andre [Iguodala] hasn’t played a lot as of late, and then, the question marks around what [James Wiseman] is going to bring at some point. We are in that final third of the year.”
The two-time MVP says he likes to look at an NBA season in three parts. The first part of the year the team was building chemistry. The second part of the year the Warriors were finding their identity, and then the last part is all about getting ready for the postseason—and that means getting healthy.

“We haven’t been whole in a long time, so you’re trying to hold the fort down because I know the way that we are constructed and the way that pieces fit, we can compete with anybody. We know that,” Curry said.
The Warriors enter the break with the second-best record in the NBA, and they hope to finish off the season the right way.
