The Golden State Warriors will head into the offseason after losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the playoffs. The Warriors wanted to make a deep playoff run, but the hamstring injury to Stephen Curry hurt their chances, and it's still not certain if they would've won if he were healthy.
Nonetheless, they should be happy with the turnaround they made in the middle of the season, and it was because of the Jimmy Butler trade.
Many other trades happened around that time, including the rival Los Angeles Lakers trading for Luka Doncic, which had almost everybody in the NBA world shocked. The Warriors were one of the teams that couldn't believe it, and Alan Keating caught their live reaction.

The Warriors seemed to be at a team event when the news broke, and Curry was the first to show Draymond Green and Buddy Hield. No one could believe it, including assistant general manager Kirk Lakob, who asked if the trade was fake.
“This is April Fools two months early,” a person in the background said.

Warriors looking to come back better next season
It was a tough way for the Warriors to have their season ended, but they still have a chance to come back next year and be better. That's what Curry believes, and that's what he mentioned when talking about his focus for the offseason.
“I'm going to take full advantage of the offseason, knowing I've been playing a lot of basketball for the last year,” Curry told reporters in his end-of-season interview, via ClutchPoints. “Yeah our contracts — me, Draymond [Green], Jimmy, Steve [Kerr] — all two years [left] and we want this ride to last as long as possible, but it's just about what does this team need for next year?”
The Warriors' core group and head coach Steve Kerr all have two years left on their contracts, and it seems like that will be the time that everyone walks away and goes somewhere else or maybe even retire. The thing is that they still believe they have a lot left in the tank and they can make another championship run before time runs out.
