Right now, it's hard to argue against the notion that the Golden State Warriors are the best team in the entire league. ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith clearly thinks this is true. So much so, that the renowned announcer just declared that Stephen Curry and the Dubs are on the verge of ending the LeBron James era.
In a recent episode of First Take, Smith talked about Friday's highly-anticipated matchup between the Warriors and the Phoenix Suns. Smith expressed how impressed he is with the Suns, but at the same time, that between Phoenix and Golden State, it's still the Dubs that will reign supreme. In any instance, however, Smith believes that either of these two teams is capable of placing LeBron and the Lakers on the verge of irrelevance:

"The Los Angeles Lakers are on the verge of putting an emphatic exclamation point to the era of LeBron James. There is no such thing as 'the LeBron James era' if you ain't in the Finals!" pic.twitter.com/iB5VHGwyag

LeBron has been the most dominant force in the NBA for nearly two decades now. For some reason, he's been able to defy Father Time as he continues to prove that he remains to be one of, if not the top player in the game year after year. However, Smith believes that The King's reign is about to come to an end. Stephen Curry and the Warriors are just too good of a team right now for them not to make it all the way to the NBA Finals this year, and in the process, put an end to the LeBron James era — at least in the mind of Stephen A. Smith.
