SAN FRANCISCO — – After two games, the Golden State Warriors lead the Denver Nuggets 2-0. So far, the Warriors entirely have their opponent's number, and the Nuggets look like they're in a ton of trouble. Golden State won both games by double-digits, and whenever Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole share the court, the Dubs are unstoppable.

This last-minute experiment has been the lineup that put the game out of reach for two straight games. The Warriors’ two-time MVP broke down what makes his team so tough to guard when he and Poole are in the game at the same time.

“It's hard to game plan against because you have to give up something,” Curry told ClutchPoints. “In those moments we've still got Klay on one side and Draymond out there being a playmaker, Otto, Wiggs, Andre when he's healthy, Belly was out there for a little bit, there are just a lot of options, and for teams to make those decisions on the fly, it's difficult, especially when we are playing fast.”

This new small-ball lineup, with the three guards alongside Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green, is fast and athletic, causing major problems for Denver on both ends of the floor. If it's working this well against the reigning MVP, Nikola Jokic, it's likely going to be effective against the rest of the league.

Now the series will take a quick break as the Warriors travel to Denver, where the Nuggets will try to take care of their home-court advantage and even the series. Game 3 is very important for both teams. It can be the game that essentially ends the Nuggets' year or renews their hope at advancing in the playoffs.

Thursday's game will surely go the Warriors' way again, though, if Denver can't figure out this new deadly lineup.
