After Stephen Curry dropped 49 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, ex-NBA player turned ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins offered an apology to the Golden State Warriors star, taking back everything bad he has said.
Following Curry's epic performance, Perkins trooped to Twitter to express his thoughts on the two-time MVP. Perkins even revealed the real reason why he was jealous of Curry, who has been absolutely on fire this month.
Hey @StephenCurry30 anything that I’ve ever said negative about you I apologize Sir! What you are doing on the court and the game of basketball is beyond LEGENDARY!!! Another 49 piece spicy with the W. I was just jealous because you were light skin and I’m not! Carry the hell on.

It's a classy act from Perkins, who has had battles with the sweet-shooting guard in his latter years in the NBA. Now, as a TV analyst, it's practically his job to critique players if they're not performing up to par. As such, star players like Curry are the ones who take a massive beating.

Perkins himself hasn't been involved in the public lashing of Curry. In fact, the imposing big man recently said the legendary Warriors guard will be among the top 10 players of all-time once he retires.
But just a few years ago, back in Perkins' playing days, the two actually had an in-game beef. In Game 2 of the 2018 NBA Finals between the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Curry was upset that Perkins didn't move his feet out of the way after a shot attempt. Perkins, who was on the injured list at that time and was just watching from the bench, said he had no bad intentions which Curry didn't seem to believe.

But given Kendrick Perkins' recent apology, it's safe to say that the beef between him and Stephen Curry has been squashed. Or at least, for now.
