Stephen Curry, the two-time NBA champion and MVP, is clearly one of the best players in the NBA and the greatest 3-point shooter of all-time. Curry has revolutionized the game because of his terrific outside range. His reputation as the NBA's most explosive shooter precedes him, as he easily earned the most All-star votes, becoming a team captain in the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. Unlike previous years, this game would be different. The NBA recently made changes to the All-Star game format in the offseason and Curry became one of the league's first ever team captains.

In the game that followed, Team Stephen lost to Team LeBron, 148-145. The game ended with some phenomenal defense on Curry from LeBron James and Kevin Durant to prevent a game-tying three. Even though his team lost, Curry had nothing but positive things to say about the new All-Star game format and he strongly believe that everyone took the game seriously, per Logan Murdock of Mercury News.

Stephen Curry on the All-Star game format: “I thought it was awesome. Mixing and matching teams. Me and LeBron taking ownership of that, I think all 24 guys took the game seriously.”

For once, the 2018 NBA All-Star game featured a united commitment to play defense from the players and actually compete against each other. Both teams displayed some passion out there, which allowed the All-Star Game to flourish as a result. Now that the festivities are over, it's time for the Warriors to go back to work and regain the top spot in the Western Conference. Though, the defending champions are probably more interested in winning another title this year.
