The Golden State Warriors have finally made their long-awaited move across the bay to San Francisco. Just because his team is no longer playing in its Oakland, though, hardly means Stephen Curry will be neglecting his longtime community in the East Bay. Case in point: His direct assistance in fixing up a shoddy basketball court in Concordia Park.
In late June, local musician Nimsins appealed to numerous current and former Warriors on Twitter about a damaged basketball court in Oakland, lamenting that city officials had yet to make the necessary repairs despite his six months of effort.

Curry wasn't tagged in the original tweet, but came across it while touring Asia, according to Katie Dowd of SF Gate. He subsequently reached out to Under Armour about the possibility of funding much-needed repairs and updates to the court at Concordia Park, a project that was underway shortly thereafter in conjunction with Chase.
The results were unveiled on Tuesday, when Curry, Nimsins, and tens of local children were there to christen the new court, which features the two-time MVP's signature phrases “Ruin the Game” and “I Can Do All Things.”

Curry is coming off another banner season, earning First Team All-NBA honors for the third time in his career. Golden State fell short of a hallowed championship three-peat, though, losing to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals after multiple players, including Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, suffered injuries.
Golden State will play its first official game at San Francisco's Chase Center on October 24 against reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard and the revamped LA Clippers.
