The Golden State Warriors were really lucky to be able to pick a Top 10 talent like Moses Moody at No. 14 in the 2021 NBA Draft, After all, the youngster is someone that really surprised Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Moody revealed that he head some interactions with Steph and Klay during his pre-draft workout with the Warriors. And apparently, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the Splash Bros. were left “impressed” by his performance (h/t Alex Didion of NBC Sports).

“And from what I heard, Klay and Steph were at the workout that Moody was at, and they were impressed by him,” Slater told 95.7 The Game.

For what it's worth, it's not only Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson who gave their seal of approval to Moses Moody. Draymond Green also had a role in the pick, even texting GM Bob Myers during the draft and suggesting to draft Moody should they fall to him at No. 14.

While they were pre-draft talks that the Warriors were targeting Chris Duarte at no. 14, they will certainly be happy that they got Moody that late in the lottery. In fact, he was one of the players Golden State targeted for their No. 7 pick–which ultimately turned to be Jonathan Kuminga.

It remains to be seen how Moody will fit in alongside Steph and Klay, but his presence alongside Kuminga makes the 2021-22 season all the more exciting in Golden State.
