Draymond Green will make his season debut for the Golden State Warriors on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers, and Dubs point guard Stephen Curry pointed out three specific things Green brings to the table.
Curry said Green has a way of making his impact felt from the jump and especially highlighted the intangibles Green boasts:
“The things he does well, you’ll feel right away,” Curry said, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “Energy, effort, communication.”
Indeed, Green has a reputation as being one of the more emphatic presences in basketball, and a tremendously fierce competitor. The communication aspect should be particularly important for a young Warriors squad still trying to find its identity without Klay Thompson.

The Warriors have looked shaky in the early goings, in spite of the 2-2 record. Curry, Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. have all struggled to shoot the ball, though Wiggins and Curry had strong shooting nights in Tuesday's win over the Detroit Pistons.
Golden State ranks 27th in offensive rating and 23rd in defensive rating. The Warriors are in desperate need of stability and energy on both ends of the floor, and they will hope to get that steadiness and intensity from Green.
