Ahead of their showdown with the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry addressed the media for the first time since suffering a left foot injury. The two-time league MVP discussed colliding with Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart, and he gave his thoughts on if he felt it was a dirty play that left him injured.
“He (Marcus Smart) didn’t try to hurt me,” Curry told ClutchPoints. “There’s a certain way that he plays that I don’t think many other people would have made the play that he did, but I don’t think it was malicious or dirty or trying to hurt me.”
Draymond Green, Juan Toscano-Anderson and others shared the same opinion. Unfortunately, the injury occurred, and now the Warriors are without their go-to guy.
“It's kind of just a tough situation, like I said it’s just the way that he plays,” the Warriors sharpshooter explained. “There’s conversation just around should he, or shouldn’t he have, but it wasn’t like he looked at me and was like, I’m trying to hurt that dude. It’s basketball.”

The team announced that Stephen Curry will be out indefinitely, and he would be re-evaluated in two weeks. That's right before the postseason. The superstar says he is optimistic and believes he will be ready by then. For now, the Warriors will have to continue without him and hope for the best.
In their first game without Curry, the Dubs lost to the Spurs in a 110-108 nail-biter. Now, the Warriors have lost back-to-back games since they've lost their superstar. Their next time to redeem themselves will be on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic.
