Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry capped off an impressive week with a 62-point outburst against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.

That performance helped Curry net Western Conference Player of the Week honors. Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Curry put on a show against Portland, making eight 3-pointers and getting to the charity stripe for a whopping 19 free-throw attempts en route to a new career high for points in a single game.

The two-time MVP has faced questions about his individual play and ability to lead a young Golden State team without Klay Thompson, and Curry responded in emphatic fashion. In fact, he admitted after Sunday's game he takes the criticisms to heart:

“Cue the Jordan meme, right?,” Curry said during postgame interviews, via Kerith Burke of NBC Sports Bay Area. “I take all that personal.”

While the 62-point performance was undoubtedly the highlight of the week, Curry has begun to build momentum in recent games. He scored 31 points and was 5-for-9 from beyond the arc in a Dec. 29 win over the Detroit Pistons. Though Curry struggled from deep in a New Year's Day blowout loss at the hands of the Trail Blazers, he still scored 26 points and pulled down eight rebounds.

But Sunday brought out a version of Curry Warriors fans have yet to see this year. He was aggressive in hunting his own shot and getting to the basket. The result was a blowout win and a performance for the ages.

While the Dubs cannot possibly expect Curry to go nuclear every time out, they can hope he is gaining confidence as the Warriors look to build early in the season. Golden State has been blown out three times this season, but the overall record of 3-3 isn't bad.
