The injury bug continues to torment the Golden State Warriors this season as Draymond Green will continue to be out of commission against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday due to soreness on his heel.

Green — who is averaging 8.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.2 steals this season — will miss his third straight game due to the nagging injury.

Dubs head coach Steve Kerr clarified that his power forward’s injury is not a major cause of concern, but they are still taking precautionary measures just to make sure. Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

“It's lingering. It doesn't seem like it's anything that's going to keep him out long, but it's not something we want to aggravate.”

Much like most of the Warriors’ roster, Green has already had his fair share of injuries at the beginning of the season. He has missed games due to a torn ligament on his finger and played through a right elbow bruise after a scary fall against the Memphis Grizzlies last week.

Golden State’s horror season continues, as they have lost nine of their last 10 games and still own the league worst record at 3-14. Most pundits predicted a significant drop for the Dubs this year, but their tragic fall from grace has been further ignited by unfortunate injuries.

Apart from missing the services of the Splash Brothers, D’Angelo Russell has also missed a considerable amount of games due to injury, while big man Kevon Looney recently admitted that he has been dealing with a nerve condition for the past 2-3 years.
