Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson turned 29 years old on Friday, but head coach Steve Kerr won't be giving him any more reason to celebrate.

The eight-year veteran sharpshooter has a lot to be thankful for on his day of birth this year.
Over the last 16 games, Thompson has scored an average of 24.3 points, on 55 percent from the field and 51 percent from downtown, per Grant Liffmann of NBC Sports Bay Area, shaking off a horrible start to the season, by his standard.
Article Continues BelowNot only is he one of the luminaries of the ‘shooters league' that basketball has gradually become, but he is also a three-time NBA title winner, a four-time All-Star, and last, but certainly not least, one of the most important members of a Western Conference-ruling Warriors franchise aiming for its third consecutive championship; a dynasty as others call it.
Is this enough to validate Kerr's point?

Klay Thompson is averaging 21.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while shooting 38.8 percent from 3-point range for the 38-15 Warriors this season. Those numbers should go up by a bit after pouring in 25 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and three blocks in the Warriors' win against the Phoenix Suns.
