There are some people who believe that Golden State Warriors superstar point guard Stephen Curry shouldn't play this season since the Dubs are going to miss the playoffs for the first time in the Steve Kerr era.

Kerr, however, sent a strong message to people on Wednesday after the Warriors finished their practice with Curry competing in the non-contact portion.

Curry broke his hand on Oct. 30 against the Phoenix Suns and underwent his first surgery on Nov. 1. After his surgery, the Warriors’ sharpshooter told reporters in November that he expects to be back at some point this season regardless of the team's standing.

Interestingly and unsurprisingly, the Dubs currently have the worst record in the NBA.

Before he injured his hand, Curry was putting up 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. He was also shooting 40.9 percent from the field, 24.3 percent from beyond the arc and a perfect 100 percent from the free-throw line.

After going to the Finals for five straight seasons, Steve Kerr and the Warriors were humbled this 2019-20 campaign. However, they should be able to return to contender status in 2020-21 once Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and newcomer Andrew Wiggins suit up together. Draymond Green should also be able to play his role perfectly with the Splash Bros back in action.

While some believe Curry should sit out the entire season, it is worth noting that Steph is a competitor and wants to be out there with his teammates if he can play.
