San Francisco, CA – On Wednesday night, things changed for the worst in a blink of an eye. One minute, Golden State Warriors fans were celebrating the fact of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green sharing the court again. The next moment they were sighing in disbelief because Curry had limped to the locker room after a collision with Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart.
When Steve Kerr noticed his star player was hurt, he immediately had an aggressive conversation with Smart on the court. After the game, he revealed his thoughts about the tragic moment.
“Well, I thought it was a dangerous play. I thought Marcus dove into Steph’s knee, and that's what I was upset about,” the Warriors coach told ClutchPoints. “I have a lot of respect for Marcus. He's a hell of a player, gamer, and competitor. I coached him in the World Cup a few summers ago. We talked after the game. Were good, but I thought it was a dangerous play. I just let him know.”

It was a loose ball on the floor. Smart dove on the ground to get it, and the Warriors star didn't. It resulted in the Celtics guard rolling over the two-time MVP's leg.
In the same sequence, Smart accidentally kicked Thompson on the other end of the floor. He was trying to prevent him from scoring an easy basket in transition. His hustle ended with a technical foul and one injured star.
Curry received an MRI Wednesday night, but no results were announced. The Warriors lost the game, and it ended their four-game win streak.
