Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green turned heads as a commentator for TNT during the Western Conference playoffs, something Dubs head coach Steve Kerr wasn't surprised by.
Green was excellent with Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal, causing many to claim that the Warriors swingman has a future in broadcasting after his playing days are over.
Kerr, who used to work for TNT as well, spoke about Green’s future as a commentator on the latest episode of “Jemele Hill is Unbothered” on Spotify.

He's one of the smartest players I've ever been around and he can talk. So it's a pretty good combination,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said about Draymond Green's commentator skills.
“He's got it right? He's just got it. And, you know, Charles (Barkley) as you said, was great of a player and he was one of the all-time greats, he's arguably a better broadcaster than a player. And Draymond defensive player of the year, um, multiple-time champion, all-star. He has a chance to be a better broadcaster than player and that's, and that's really saying something. So, um, it's just, you know, that, that combination of game awareness and wit, um, and presence – it's very rare.”
Green was able to work for TNT since the Warriors weren't invited to the Disney bubble for the resumption of the campaign. To recall, the Dubs had the worst record in the NBA before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March due to COVID-19.
It's unknown how many more years Green plans to play in the NBA. He's currently under contract with the Warriors until the end of the 2023-24 season.
When he does retire, though, Green could very well transition into TV or radio broadcasting.
